Abstract:

Increased pressure on ecosystems and enhanced competition over the use of natural resources makes it necessary to develop sustainable methods for natural resource management (NRM), however, NRM is a complicated issue. It involves numerous stakeholders, with different needs, resources and perceptions of nature. This paper applies a framework based on resilience theory to examine the region’s resilience and capacity for change and renewal. Therefore based on Content Analysis of Historical Documents on Sustainable Natural Resource Management collected from Iranian Ministry of agriculture and Environmental protection Organization and based on resilience theory, adaptive cycle, and methodology which developed by Allison and Hobbs1  we identified five distinct temporal periods between 1823 and 2005.In second step we presented  development of Sustainable Natural Resource Management in two paths which are (1) the organizational changes in natural resource management, and (2) timeline of maintaining of natural resource management laws.
