The impact of beetroot juice on hyperlipidemia induced rats

Abstract:

In recent years there is an increasing interest on biological activity of the red beet root specially on ingesting in the form of juice. The objective of this experiment was to identify the impact of beetroot juice supplementation on hyperlipidemia. Male Wistar rats weighing 200-250 g were selected for this experiment with all due consents from Institutional Animal Ethics Committee. High cholesterol diet was induced to rats along with recording of weight and parameters. Blood tests were done to confirm hyperlipidemia status. The results of the study confirm with the induction of beetroot juice the lipid levels were lowered. In a conclusion compare to standard treatment beetroot juice shown an exponential effect on hyperlipidemia.
