Abstract:

Gastric cancer (GC) is seventh most common cancer in India and 5th incidence globally. The survival rate is very less because of diagnosis at advanced stage for many patients. The GC development in molecular and cellular level mechanisms is not well defined. Conventionally, the study of cancer research involves cancer cells only. Recently, researchers are studying the normal cells converting into cancer cell. Genetic and environmental changes may lead to produce variants of genes in a genome that play a major character in cancer initiation, development and establishment of metastatic disease. These gene variants predicted by using exome sequencing methods and also predict the functional enriched genes associated with different functional pathways that significantly make a potential targets as well as biomarkers. The primary aim of the study was to explore gene variants present in gastric cancer as a result 35 genes were identified as a biomarker. This may have a major benefit to gastric cancer diagnosis
