The loan repayment pattern of marginal farmers in Haryana

Abstract:

The present study explains either the loan repayment made in installments or lump sum or any other pattern adopted by the marginal farmer households in the Sonepat district of Haryana state. The total no. of villages selected for the study is 30 and the 20 marginal farmers of every village. Thus, the total size of the study is 600. The data analyzed using wind range of appropriate statistics techniques such as percentage, average, ratio, proportions, range and chi-square test. The various charts are used by the researcher for make the study easily understandable. The present paper concludes that the difference between the blocks as well as tehsils was not significant in the any methods of loan repayment of institutional sources but in the non-institutional sources difference between the blocks as well as tehsils was significant in the lump sum and any other method and not significant in installment method of loan repayment.
