The place and role of human capital in the implementation of the sustainable strategy - Europe 2020

Abstract:

A sustainable development of a economy that is more effective from the perspective of resource consumption, greener and more competitive in the context of promoting the sustainable growth, is what Europe intends for the end of the first decade of the 21^st century. Under these circumstances human capital is influenced by the effects generated by the achievement or non-achievement of each objective of the Europe 2020 Strategy, as it can influence all activities undertaken in order to achieve these objectives. In this paper, we focus our attention on the implications of human resources and their management in the sustainable development process. It is of great interest to the global society to identify ways to ensure the success of sustainable growth for the people of today and for the future generations from the perspective of human resources management.
