Abstract:

Knowing the implications of all sorts of risks with which workers and technicians are facing with, the Human Resource Management from pulp and paper industry (PPI) is mainly focusing on the protection and security of their work. Obviously, one of these risks, the chemical risk, respectively, deserves a special attention. Since Romania is a member state of the European Union, we have considered the fact that the legal provisions related to workplace security and health comprise a series of normative acts that ensure the compliance of the national legislation with the community legislation in the field, by transferring the specific directives drawn up in the implementation of the Framework Directive and referring to specific risks and activities. This is the very reason why our notes on the issue of workplace safety in the specific environments of PPI will take into account the effects of the enforcement of the specific European standards.
