Malay-Javanese political relationships: Historical literatures perspective based on the sustainable development approach

Abstract:

Malay-Javanese relationships of the political aspects based on literary history recorded by the respective authors such as H.R. Pasai, S.S. (S.Mel.), H.Banjar, T.Nafis, S.K.R. Jambi, H.N. Jambi and H.T. Hitu. The history of Javanese literature contained in Nagarakrtagama, Pararaton, B.T. Jawi, B. Majapahit, B. Demak, S. Banten, B.S. Agung, B. Mataram, B. Segaluh and B. Nitik. This study has used sociological theory of literature relating to the socio-political elements contained in the literature. Formation of the relationship is based on governance philosophy. Power is the main concern in developing political relationships inline to governance philosophy that occur due to parties’ desire to create political institution, as a result creating competition, conflict as well as cooperation among pertinent parties. However, treachery and betrayal are very dangerous elements in political relation to a ruler in accordance to governance perspective because these two elements are able to decrease the power in control. Expansion of territory and power control has established political relationships as well as cooperation between Malay-Javanese, which can be seen based on sustainable development approach.
