Biodiversity in Nigeria: Non-consumptive values perspective

Abstract:Different living things in ecosystem are satisfying man in various aspects of life other than food. Nigerian rainforest zones and savanna areas have potentials of providing for human needs in terms of economy, leisure among others. National parks, game reserves, forests and resort centers in the country are endowed with so many tourist attractions including animals and features. In some of the country’s National parks and resort centers, some endangered animals that are of tourist values such as chimpanzees, gorillas, elephants, lions, different species of monkeys, among others are visibly in existence.
