Abstract:

The dynamic of Mn content between soil and plant was analyzed in the Northeast Leymus chinensis grasslands. Results showed that Mn content is in scarcity in this area. During the growing season, contents of total Mn and available Mn showed a down-trend distribution in the soil profile. Content of total Mn was significantly positively correlated to that of the organic matter, but negatively to soil pH. Monthly dynamic of the average content of total Mn showed a “V” type curve in the growing season where July was the nadir. From May to August the trend of the average content of available Mn was similar to the content of total Mn, but was down after August; Mn content variation in the organs and litter of Leymus chinensis was great, with the trend being root>rhizome> litter >leaf> stem. The soil of A layer had stronger capacity of enriching available Mn. The activation of Mn was 13.78%. The Mn enriched was 1.448 times in root of Leymus chinensis more than available Mn in the soil. The Mn shift intension from underground to aboveground of Leymus chinensis with mean 0.556 dropped during May and October. The Mn shift intension from aboveground to litter of Leymus chinensis with mean 1.398 was very high which was negative trend to the one from underground to aboveground of Leymus chinensis.
