Agrofood consumption, production environment and safe agrofood supply in China

Abstract:

China is one of the most populous country in the world, as well as the agricultural production and trading power. The whole world pays close attention to the supply of safe agrofood in China. Based on the accurate data, it is showed that safe agrofood supply in China is in a dilemma. Along with increasing amount of agrofood consumption, the environmental deterioration of agrofood production enlarges the gap between demand and supply of safe agrofood. Overall, ensuring the safe agrofood supply in China is a long undertaking which calls for the joint effort of the government, enterprises, and residents alike.
