Abstract:

Resistance against fluid flow through each constituent in a hydraulic circuit induces temperature rise in the system. In case the whole produced heat does not transfer to the ambient via reservoir and pipelines, an oil cooler would be essential. Hydraulic system of JD 955 harvester combine has four fluid power lines. There are some pressure relief valves and orifices with small diameters in order to control the actuators used in the system precisely, which enhance work temperature of the intended system. In this paper, heat transfer performed by every comprising component of the hydraulic system in 955 combine analyzed by finite element method through ANSYS software in order to calculate temperature rise attributed to energy losses of the system and actually investigate the necessity of an oil cooler. Finally, suggestions were presented to make the system optimal.
